Newcomers of York County August Meeting/Luncheon

Fish Market, Baxter Village, Fort Mill
        Our August meeting will be a presentation by Christia Humburg, Executive Director, Fort Mill History Museum, and Rudy Sanders, founding member and volunteer, Fort Mill History Museum. Christia has worked in the tourism industry in and around York County for over 10 years, having worked with both Hilton and Marriott properties and with the Olde English District Tourism Commission. She has lived in York Co for 25 years. Rudy is a native of Fort Mill, he is retired from the U.S. Military and Metropolitan Transportation Authority. He is passionate about his home town and its local history. He is also a member of the Fort Mill School District nominating committee.

        Our luncheon will be at the Fish Market, 990 Market Street, Fort Mill. It is in Baxter Village off of Route 160. The menu will consist of a choice of: 1) Chicken Salad Croissant served with mixed greens in champagne vinaigrette and a side of fresh cut fruit; 2) Ham and Asparagus Quiche served with mixed greens in champagne vinaigrette and a side of fresh cut fruit; 3) Gluten Free California Turkey Wrap with turkey, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and ranch dressing served with fresh cut fruit; or 4) Vegetarian Gluten Free Wrap served with fresh cut fruit. Cost of the meal is $17 and includes beverages and cookies or brownies. You will need to indicate your meal selection when making your reservations. Please make your reservations early, since space is limited.

        Reservations are required. Please call Lynda Gunn at 561-676-6985 or email her at [email protected] by 10 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7. Your email reservation will be confirmed. If you do not receive a confirmation, please call Lynda. Please note: no shows and cancellations after the reservation deadline, which cannot be filled from the wait list, will be charged at full cost.
