Welcome to Newcomers of York County
Make Friends, Have Fun, Serve Your Community
The Newcomers Club is a social and civic-minded women’s organization that is dedicated to offering a variety of opportunities for newcomers to meet their neighbors, enjoy social events with others, and learn more about their new community. Whether you are new to York County or have lived here your entire life we, in the Newcomers Club, would like to extend our friendship to you.
Our general meetings held on the second Wednesday of every month frequently feature guest speakers discussing a range of topics from personal needs to social and community issues. As a member of the Newcomers Club you can choose from a variety of social activities offered by the Club. The purpose of the Club is for all of you to attend as many activities as possible so that you will meet a variety of people and form great lasting friendships. We also offer many opportunities to participate in projects that benefit local charities. Fun activities such as our “Makers and Bakers” silent auction generate funds to be used to help others in the community.
We would love to have you attend our next meeting to enjoy some friendly conversation. Our symbol is the pineapple which represents friendship and hospitality and we hope everyone will enter as a stranger and leave as a friend!
