The Game Of 100 Wonders and 10,000 Possibilities
MahJongg is a game that originated in China centuries ago, commonly played by four players (with three-player variations). It is not played with partners. Mahjongg is a game of skill, strategy and calculation and involves a certain degree of chance.
We play the Chinese version. This is the version that is played without jokers for those of you who are familiar with the American version. Once you learn to play this game you will never tire of playing it, since you try to make many different hands using domino-shaped tiles.
We meet on the second Tuesday and the last Friday of each month to eat lunch and play afterwards. Currently we are meeting at Towne Tavern on Route 160 in Fort Mill at 12:30 PM. We usually have three or four tables (sometimes more) of three or four people each.
You will be meeting a great group of women in addition to playing or learning to play a great game. It isn’t hard to learn.
